An interview with Limpol's CEO and owner Oksana Lubovetska about private labels.

Before Christmas, an interview about private labels was published on the food portal with Limpol's CEO and owner Oksana Lubowiecka. We encourage you to read it.

What exactly are private labels?

Private labels are now a permanent feature of the food retail market, defining a variety of products sold within a single chain. They came to Poland in the second half of the 1990s, together with western retail chains. Over the years, attitudes towards private labels have changed. Today, these are products that are not inferior in quality to those of well-known manufacturers, but are competitively priced and precisely in line with the companies' well-thought-out philosophy. They are a method of effectively increasing their recognisability against the competition. Private label is now transforming from Private Label to Private Brand. These are products that have their own architecture, thoughtful design and a number of quality differentiators that set them apart from the competition.

What is Limpol's role as an expert in this area?

Creating a private label is a complex process with a lot of responsibility. It is a key issue for the chain, its business card, often the backbone of the business. Creating a brand alone is not enough, you also have to take care of the right selection and choice of products. We understand this very well and, as an importer of more than 140 food products from 31 countries on as many as five continents, we develop proposals that quickly become popular with consumers. We develop private label products together with our customers. We are professionals in this field.

What private label services does the company offer?

More and more customers trust private labels. In response to increasing demand, we offer a range of comprehensive services. We make use of our many years of experience. We develop recipes in detail, design labels and packaging. We conduct research, continuously monitor the market, and accurately respond to emerging consumer needs and expectations. Our proposals are meticulously considered and reliable. We are flexible and innovative.

For whom do you carry out your projects?

Over the years, we have been trusted by a wide range of customers. We carry out private label projects both for the largest retail chains in Poland and for suppliers to the HoReCa catering market. We offer assistance at every stage of the work - from the production process to the final product.

What is the innovation of Limpol's private label operations?

Private labels are an increasingly strong trend in the food industry and require activity on many levels. Innovation is not only about introducing attractive products or completely new flavours. It is also all about graphic identification, a modern way of communicating with the customer, but also logistics and a reliable distribution system. We try to stay ahead of trends and implement new projects dynamically. When building a private label offer, we apply a comprehensive solution, examining the price level, the market, the product, the packaging design and its functionality We are effective and know how to guarantee success.
