We recently patronised Andrzej Szczęsny - an outstanding Polish alpine skier and Paralympian. His story is unique and his successes are astounding despite his disability. He competes in the stand-up skiing events. Considered by many to be the most versatile athlete on the Polish Paralympic team. The competitions in which he races are: slalom, giant slalom, super giant, super combination and paracollege. He is currently preparing for the Paralympic Games, which will be held in China in 2022.
At the age of 10, he underwent surgery to amputate his right leg, which was affected by bone cancer. His disability did not stop him from reaching for his sporting dreams. He trained in various sports, but it was only skiing that gave him a sense of freedom and fulfilment.
-2004 - World Championships - Giant Slalom - 5th place
-2006 - He was on the National Team at the Paralympic Games in Turin, but broke his tibia during training before the competition.
-He did not perform at the Games until 2015.

He is a multiple Polish champion in slalom and giant slalom, including 2020.
