Description
Piri piri - a small pepper from the chilli family with a very pungent taste, which was brought to Europe during the colonial conquests by the Portuguese. It was in their cuisine that it was used to liven up overly mild meat and fish dishes. Today, it has become a firm favourite with lovers of spicy flavours. In summer, it is indispensable as an accompaniment to grilled dishes; in winter, it warms up the taste of thick soups, stews and sauces.
