This is a large, economical portion of sealed sun-dried tomatoes, designed for restaurants that serve Italian delicacies.
Sun-dried tomatoes are a delicacy with a wide range of uses. They appear as an ingredient in many salads and pizzas but are also often served as a stand-alone antipasti. They are also increasingly used as an addition to meat and fish tartares, pates and mousses. Many chefs also add them to their dry baked goods - focaccia, grissini, small buns.
We import our tomatoes from Turkey. They are soft and juicy - perfect for any Mediterranean dish.
